1996 Ford Taurus power steering

When I put the transmission in any motion gear, the radio wont work and the car is very hard to steer

What about in park? Power steering works or not in park?

How is the fluid level in the reservior? Full and clean (clear pink).

IS there any noises when turning? Like a moaning for example.

1. Power STR works in PARK & NEUTRAL. It does NOT work in REVERSE or any of the FORWARD GEARS.
2. PWR DTR level is at correct level.
3. Color of fluid is OK also.

Also the radio and power windows do not work when in Reverse or any of the forward gears.

Replace the transmission range sensor/neutral saftey switch. Very common failure. . This switch is actually 3 circuits in one. One of them is digital and it fails, this causes the GEM to misinterpret the info and causes your concerns.
