So just had radiator replaced. The thermostat is about 2 yrs old. And it likes to run hot and overheat. Mostly when the car is in idle during traffic on a hot day. If I turn the heat in car on it helps keep it from over heating sometimes. What could be the reason for this issue?

Well when you turn on the heat you are actually turning on the a/c cooling fan. So stop roasting yourself and turn the air on instead lol.

Now this could be a bad fan motor or it could be a bad temp switch
