Its either the oil pan or the valve cover gasket leaking and dripping on the exhaust causing the smoke.

Well I was on my way to pick up my friend so he could look at my car. About 9 miles on the freeway I notice a clanking noise everytime I accelerated. Then my acceleration was almost non existant I had to floor it to get from 55 to 60 thats when I thought I should get off the freeway. After I exited my car died right there at the light on the off ramp luckily it started back up but drove extremly rough and the shaking that it normally does at 65mph it was doing everytime I slowed down or stopped.

( I realize this is a lengthy post and I will redonate:) )

Lets do this other than the smoke-have the idle speed control, throttle position sensor and fuel pressure checked-

I'm a lil bit confused here -which one do you want me to fix what's causing the smoke or what's making it not to accelerate and stalling?

Are they related? I have only had the car a week found your site and posted the smoke issue then today I had the car clinking, shking, stalling issue which by the way was accompanyed by smoke.
