1992 Ford Taurus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 1k miles

WHAT IS NEEDED TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION ON A 1992/3.0L V6/TAURUS WITH A 3.8L V6 FORD TRANSMISSION?
(3.8L V6 TRANS. REPLACE AN 3.0L V6 TRANS.)

Alot of tools and a lift, and a engine hanging rig. The entire front cradle assembly (frame) has to come out of the car, not a DIY project. Engine must be supported and hung from above while the cradle is dropped, then the trans can come out

Dont think they are interchangeable. Might want to call a salvage yard to confirm, they have cross-reference books that say what will and wont go
