I just got an 87 Ranger 2.9 litre

I got an 87 ford ranger 2.9 litre and I replaced the fusible links coming from the firewall for ignition and the truck will turn over but I dont have any power to the ignition coil. Its kinda weird any help would be nice

I have an 88 ranger with the same problem, but I also cant get the fuel pump to run. I can manually make it though. I talked to a friend who has 13 years experience and he told me that it may be a ground is loose, or the ignition module. I havent had a chance to work on mine yet but mabey this will help.
