High mileage, 201000, truck has all origional parts never any trouble untill now, when I start truck it does not seem to idle high enough, will die if I do not keep the gas pedel depressed. After it is warmed up it runs great, just when it has sat for a few hours. Will not stay running when I have to stop unless I keep the gas peddle in. Also, smells like old gas when it does this likes its flooding or something.

Replace or thoroughly clean the IAC valve on the intake.

Had the same problem. Cleaned the IAC with carb cleaner and it worked fine for about 2 months, then needed another cleaning. Ended up just replacing with a new unit and no problems since
