2001 Ford Ranger 2001 Ford Ranger breaking top of fuel pump

I have had my Ranger for over 2 years, 2 weeks ago all the pump connectors broke on the fuel pump. Gas was pouring out from under truck. Had to have it towed home. Replaced fuel pump then yesterday it did the same thing with the new fuel pump. This truck has never been abused. Why has this started happening & how can we fix it?

HI there,

There is some form of un natural external load acting on the fuel line or the new pump has a faulty connector, I have seen this with other pumps with quick release couplings, I would look at this first.
