1999 Ford Ranger Missing and sputering

Im in the process of figuring out an EGR vavle problem but when you turn the AIR on the truck jumps and jerks but it only does when the air is on not any other time Any ideas thanks 3.0 engine

Sounds like the a/c compressor is cycling off and on, this causues extra load on the engine and will make it surge. What is the EGR problem? Insufficient flow? Try a dpve sensor, they go out all of the time.

Im not sure till I have the codes read again but I will find out asap it was insuffeciant and excessive but idnt know right now thanks alot
