All at once my brake lights don't work correctly when I tap on them only when I press the pedal hard. All the lights work just don't seam to work correctly. Any solutions that might cause this.

Is there any adjustment on the brake switch? Maybe a faulty brake switch?

This guide will help fix it

It's a brake pedal position switch. When the switch is activated, the lite green wire goes hot and carries voltage to brake lites. Where applicable check for any adjustment.
