1992 Ford Ranger Engine Start and then runs good for 5, 10, 1

Engine Starts and runs good for 5, 10, 15 min. Then Dies and wont start back up immediately (but fires for a little while) you need to let it rest for awhile. Then it will repeat the same thing. I know it's not a fuel filter due to it didn't hesitate at higher loads or speed prior to this problem. It was a very sudden problem! Does anyone have any advise?

When the engine stalled, were the dash lights showing? When cranking, dash lights showing?

If no to both, the ignition switch is faulty.
