Engine Performance problem
1984 Ford Ranger 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1984 ford Ranger. Whenever I put the car in drive or reverse, or when I come to a complete stop the motor dies can you tell me what would cause this?

Your possibilities here that can cause that problem are as follows:

Idle speed motor, EGR and PCV valves and throttle position sensor or needs an idle speed adjustment
