Hello everybody. I am new at this so please bear with me.
I've got a 96 Probe GT with a M/T and 113k miles. I am trying to replace the left front CV shaft. I've done them before on other Probes and front wheel drive autos (but not on this specific car) and never had this kind of problem. I've got the tie rod apart, the lower ball joint disconnected and the brake caliper and rotor removed. The nut is off the shaft and I have beat, air hammered, pryed, pressed, heated and cussed the CV shaft and I can't get it to go thru the spindle. I've let it soak in various penetrating oils and still no luck. If anybody has any other ideas I would love to hear them because I am out of them. Thanks.

There are tools out there that are made to push the axle through the spindal. Snap-on, mac, matco will carry this tool. Look on line, or even check ebay to see if you can purchase this tool. All it does is grab a hold of the spindal and push the axle through. Anyway, good luck on your repairs
