Thursday I went to my car and found antifreeze on the ground, was told that the water pump is bad. Put water in the rateator and drove it about 2 miles to my house, as I got to my house I found that the alternator belt broke cause the wheele that the alternator belt is on is extremely loose.(It flops from side to side)im guessing that this belt controlls the alternators, power steering and the water pump. The car idles high. Started the car and the fuel cut off light came on, from posting on the internet the car shouldnt start with the fuel cut out light on cause the interea switch became tripped. But mine does, the interea switch isnt tripped. How can I shut off this fuel cut off light and how hard is it to replace the water pump my self?

First, if the belt broke and the idler or tensioner pulley wobles, REPLACE both of these first, if the belt broke you could have overheated due to that rather than the water pump! Try removing the neg(-) battery cable for a minute to extinguish the light.
