Hey guys I got a 1991 Probe and it started abrubtly stalling both while driving or idling. I checked the spark by grounding a plug on the block and got someone to turn it over, there was no spark at all. I then replaced the coil with a brand new one and the car ran perfect for a day, then the same thing happened again. I again tested the spark and there was no spark. I checked the voltage to the coil and it is getting power but there was nothing on the other end. The part store is replacing the coil in case it's a dud, but I was wondering if its possible that something is overcharging the coil and causing it to burn out? Any help much appreciated. Thanks. Jey.

Ok do you have a digital multi meter? What I need you to do is do an ohms test on the coil first. However before I can give you the test procedures for the coil and the module I need to know weather or not it has a distributor. If you can include a pic of it so I can see which ignition system you have ok. Thanks. Here is pic of what ignition module I think you have. Let me know ok.

Save this pic as if it correct you will need to refer to it for testing ok.
