2001 Ford Mustang reving up

Hey I have a 2001 mustang bullitt. Ok some times it will start to idle at around 2000rpm and when I change the gears going down the road it revs up to around 3000rpm. Havent lost no power just tryin to get this fixed. I was told it was the sencor on the throttle body.

Has the check engine light come on? To me it sounds like a throttle position sensor (TPS) or idle control valve (IAC). However, it should set the check engine light.
