1996 Ford Mustang Overheating issues

What is the best solution for a 1996 cobra with overheating issues. Would you replace it with a 1997 motor or try and rebuild the existing motor to compensate for the problem. Thank you for your time!

First of all it may not even be a problem with the engine.

With that said I would like you to change your thermostat and make sure the cooling fans are coming on.

Post back to me what you find and if it remedyed it and if not we can continue.
