1987 Ford Mustang V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

5.0 liter mustang runs for about 5 minutes and then just quits. It has to sit about 7 minitues then it will start. However I changed the powertrain module today and now it wont start at all. Ive also changed the distributor, coil, map sensor, o2 sensor, module on the side of distubutor, computer, and the powertrain control module. I had a mechanic check to see if we were getting pulse when the engine quits while we were turning it over and there is no pulse to injectors. Help Me!

Ok so how did you determine that there was no injector pulse? Did you use a noid light? Also have put the old power train module back in to see what it does? Get back to me.

I had a mechanic check the pulse of the injectors by some tool that you hook up to the injectors and I think it lights up if you have pulse. I am not sure the tool. I know he unhooked the injector and put this tool on it to test for pulse. Also I did put the old powertrain control module back in it and it still wont fire. Please let me know if you can help.

Ok I need to know if it was done with a noid light and if the light stayed on or if it stayed off as the tests are different for each. Did you put the old powertrain unit back in to see if it would start? It may be that you got a bad one. What I would like you do for now is check the resistance of the injectors. Unplug them and check resistance of the injector itself should be 15 to 19 ohms. Let me know what you find and we will take it from there.
