1969 Ford Mustang Transmission leak

I have a 69 Mustang with a 302 engine, the transmission leaks and when driving it shifts from 1st to 2nd but not into 3rd. Does the leak caust this problem, I am not sure how many automatic gears it has.

Hi there,

The leak will only affect the shifting patten if the oil level gets to low. I would get the leak attended to and have the transmission serviced, do this before you do some expensive damage to it.
