On certain temperatures when trying to accelerate the check engine light comes on and no acceleration. If you remove pressure from accelerator and try again it will accelerate. Check engine light goes out. No engine codes found. OD light also flashes.

Sounds like we have an issue with the scan tool on this vehicle. If the check engine light and OD light come on, then more than likely we have an issue with the torque converter.

So, what I would suggest is we stop by a parts store and have them check for codes as well.

If there are no codes, then we need to monitor the RPM and turbine shaft speed.

Most scan tools that have live data capture can monitor this, but this will tell us that the converter is slipping because the speeds should be very close when the converter is engaged.

I am attaching the typical codes that we will find if this is the issue and some simple testing.

Please run through this and let me know what you find. Thanks
