13 year old F250 did well until 3 years ago when heater core failed. Replaced wlth ofter market core, This failed a year later. Failed again a year later. Failed again yet another year later. This model has the core buried under the dash board, a $700 labor access. I've been told core's material was copper till about 2002, now aluminum. And warranties now limited to 90 days. Electrohydralysis apparent. Impossible situation.

Your going to have to put a new one in. But to cut down on electroalasys you have to add in the heater core hoses or heater core itself and grounding strap soldered on and from there secured to a good ground.
