Truck won't start

electricty is getting to switch, lights and all the appripriate dinging comes on when you turn the switch, but nothing else, no clicking of an attempt to turn the engine over. Just dead

What is wrong?

Check all battery connections and voltage, you want 12 volts across the terminals. If OK if you can get under and reach the starter, turn key on, cross the S and Batt Heavy wire with a screwdriver, will it start?
If yes starter solinoid is defective, replace the starter.
