I have a 1995 Ford Mustang GT 5.0 150k miles. The problem started shortly after buying the car. When I am going around 70 mph the cars check engine light will come on and then at some point after that the car will then start bucking. (It feels like kids kicking the back of your seat). At one point it quit for a few weeks (oddly enough after my exhaust pipe had broke). I then had it welded back together and after that the problem reoccured. I have been told that it could be that or something with my fuel pump. My husband suspects it might be low fuel pressure. My mufflers have been removed, but all my cats an O2 sensors are still intact. If anybody has any suggestions HELP!

May be restrictricted cat(s). Get a fuel gauge and put hubby's theory to test.

Well after we changed the exhaust (X-pipe with 2 single chamber flowmasters), plugs (double platinum), plug wires (MSD), MSD distributor and pick up coil, both fuel filters, the problem was the MAF sensor. So if anybody else is having about the same problem maybe this can lead you in the right direction. The easiest way to check this is while the car is running unplug the MAF sensor if it doesn't make a difference in the way the car runs then that particular part could be part of the problem
