I have a 2000 f150 that was running great until teh weather turned cold. It runs really rough upon acceleration until the motor warms up. After that it occationally runs rough during acceleration or on a hill. Actually feell like you are driving over rumble strips. This is an awesome truck.

Sounds like you may need a tune up. Do you have a check engine light on?

No check engine light. It also continues to run rough when warm but runs better.

I took it to get codes checked and there is a dead short. The code reader shares the same fuse as the cig lighter. So before I can get any codes checked I have to find out where the short is at. Hopefully something simple.

The fuse is a 20 amp in the under dash fuse cluster. Do you mean the short might be in the under hood fuse box?
