Shakes or Wobbles problem
1997 Ford F150 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 220.00 miles

I have a 1997 ford F150 4.6. When it warms up at idle it rattles under the truck if I put in park it stops when I drive it stops, But when I am at a light it starts up rattling. Is this something with the transmission or catalyc converter.

It is your heat shield for either the catalytic converter and/or the exhaust pipe. Many times you can use a couple of the biggest hose clamp like this one

and tighten the shield back into place, rather than spending money to have the shield welded back on.

I did that and it still has a small rattle, so I am going to try another clamp and see what happens.
But great advice. Thank you.

And sometimes, you have to straighten the heat shield and move the clamps around to get better and tighter fit.
