There is a flat wire that is hooked to the passenger side firewall and is just sitting there in the engine compartment. It has a round flat terminal on the end of it that looks like it should be bolted to something - it is about 1.5 to 2 feet long. Just trying to figure out where the other end should live!

thanks!

Welcome to the forum, If you don't know where it goes, can you tell where it comes from? Is the wire hot? What color/ Black is usually a ground? I can't tell for sure?

Jdl123 - I call it a wire - it is almost like a flat band about 1/4 inch wide - hooked to the right passenger side firewall with a green screw. Would make me think it some sort of ground but have no idea where it goes - I just found it laying around with no apparent purpose.

Yeah, flat braid, no insulation? Sounds like a ground, sorry I don't have a location for that. If the loose end is broke, you might try to find the other broken end?
