2000 Ford F-150 Tire seized to hub.

I was doing a break job on my 2000 F150 and am not able to take the drivers side rear tire off. I have even driven the truck around the yard with the lugs off! It will still not budge. I have to admit I am not a car expert, but I think I know how to remove a tire. Has anyone else ever had this problem, and can someone please help me?

This is a common problem for most fords in general. It will just take a little time to work loose. Start by spraying a rust penetrant, wd40/pbBlaster etc, at the base of the wheel studs with the lugs backed off or removed. If you are driving the vehicle every day, just do it each night before it sits. Within a couple days it will work in and loosen up the corrosion, though a couple swift kicks to the tire might help. Ensure the vehicle is securly lifted on 2 jackstands before attempting to dislodge the tire with force.

After the wheel finally frees, make sure to thoroughly dry the studs off all lube to prevent the lugs from backing off in the future. Always keep the lugs tight when driving.
