My fuel tank switch does not work. I switch it from the rear tank to the front tank and it drops to empty and the truck dies. The front tank is completely full of gas but shows nothing. What should I try?

This vehicle does not use an external fuel tank switching valve. A supply check valve in the fuel pump assembly opens when the outlet pressure from the energized fuel pump exceeds the opposing check valve spring force.

You need to check and determine if its the switch or the fuel pump that is bad check for power at the fuel pump connector if you do have battery power and ground then fuel pump no good (give the tank a hit or two in the middle of it while a helper cranking for you ) if not check the wiring and switch

Ok so you have a fuel pump in each tank and you have a setement bowl on the frame and a fuel filter. No you need to determine if the pump is dead or not. Also check the tank selector switch

and the fuel tank selector valve
