Just bought this truck was running fine and all of a sudden started leaking oil from behind the oil pan when running. When not running it doesn't leak.I'm hoping its not a rear seal

It might just be coming from the intake and running down. How would I know for sure?

That is all that is there to leak, the rear seal. However, make sure it isn't coming from the rear of the intake and running down.

Let me know what you find.

You have two choices. One is to simply clean the rear of the engine really well with an engine degreaser, run the truck and see if you can tell where the leak is coming from.

Also, they make a dye you can put into the oil. After it is in, run the truck and then using a black light, you will see where the leak is coming from because the dye will glow.

Let me know what you find.
