my starter will keep starting when key is in off position

As this is happening go to the solenoid next to the battery and pull off the small wire at the "S" terminal. If the starter stops, then the problem is in the starter circuit in the truck somewhere and will have to be troubleshooted from a wiring diagram. If it does not stop, that solenoid id bad.
