93 Explorer, 156,000 miles, v6. Don't know if I have bad gas, bad fuel pump or something else. No stalling as of yet. Starts fine, sometimes I have a small rough idle (very rare), but am having acceleration problems. It just feels like it's not getting gas. It shifts fine. It's not all the time only occasionally. It might drive fine on the way to work, but act hokey on the way home. Usually after it warms up a little it drives ok but still doesn't feel like it's pulling right. I've had the fuel filter changed, injectors cleans and new spark plugs/wires. I sometimes get a "check engine" light but not always. I have taken it to one Autozone to see if they can run a scan for me but they are saying my car is too old. Maybe it's just that Autozone. Not sure. Any ideas on what it could be?

I've found on these fords the ign. Coil pack can cause all kinds of probs. You may want to get the ignition system scoped. Try removing the coil pack, look at its underside for a black pattern on the filler poured in the coil. This can cause crazy problems.

Might also want to check the fuel pressure.
