I have no use for third row seats. Can I remove them? Do I need to install the cross brace as found on police versions?

Yes you can remove them as far as the brace goes I have not seen one, but I believe it would have something to do with helping the structural integrity of the car something you might not need.

Below are some diagrams I found that can you you get the job done.

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Cheers, Ken

The rear power folding passerger seat is locked in the down position. The switch for the seat is working. The motor for the seat turns in both directions but the threaded rod does not turn. Any ideas on how to repair?

You need to remove the motor and take it apart. CHances are the gear inside that turns the worm screw is stripped or broken.

Let me know what you find.

Thanks for the suggestion. I attempted just that. There is one pin that holds the motor in place in the seat frame that I removed. I then expected the motor to drop down, slide off the end of the threaded rod to be able to remove the motor. No such luck however. The motor in encased in metal supports that are rivited to the framework of the power seats. It looks like I would have to remove the entire rear power folding seat assembly to get in a position to drill out the rivets to remove the motor. Any ideas you have to avoid all that would be appreciated?
