2002 Ford Explorer Very slow to accelerate

Rebuilt trans 15k miles ago. Is now slow to accelerate especially up hill. Usually I slowly increase the speed and it's fine. Sometimes if I push on gas strongly it does a little kick but goes. Speed change from 55-75.
