2001 Ford Explorer Possible Universal Joint Problem

Sometimes while driving, the gears are not shifting properly. Gears are trying to catch at a low speed of 10-30 mph. The vehicle starts to jerk, especially driving up a hill. Also, I hear a scrapping or grinding sound.

Hi there,

Start with a scan and check for any set fault codes, check the level & condition of the trans oil, and as for the noise, it may be a brake issue, have these checked as well, start here.
