When I start my 2000 Ford Explorer in the morning, or when it is cold, it idles very roughly for a minute or so until it warms up. No codes come up in the code reader, and no check engine light is on. Do you have any suggestions?

You may want to check for vacuum leaks. Or clean the mass air flow.
Good luck

Check the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC). If it is dirty/carbon build up on the iside, you could try cleanig it out with carb cleaner to see if it resolves the issue. Let it dry throughly before reinstalling. I learned through personal experience and other forums, it is only a TEMP fix to isolate the issue. It may buy you a few days to a few weeks without problems, but the part should be replaced. Good luck with it.
