I have a 96 ford explorer Eddie Bauer edition, my speedomoter works but my odometer does not move. Does this car have 2 cables (1 for speed and 1 for odomter)? How do I fix this problem? Is this a cable issue or something else?

More than likely this is an issue with the cluster itself. If the speedometer is working then the vehicle speed sensor is working and it is making a good connection all the way through the circuit.

The cluster takes this vehicle speed signal and calculates mileage inside the cluster.

So if it is the only thing not working then I would replace the cluster first and foremost.

However, below is the testing that we need to run through in order to prove this out.

Here is a guide that will help with this testing:

Below you will find the testing and the process for replacing the cluster. Please let us know what you find with this. Thanks
