When I wrote earlier about my auto transmission leaking, and how it isn't leaking anymore, the technician thought it sounded like "the trans may be getting hot and blowing the fluid out of the vent tube. If there is an internal problem, it could get overheated on longer drives, then the fluid is pushed out of the vent tube."

How do I fix this?

Hi robinpur,

Thank you for the donation.

Check the trans fluid level first, overfilling would push the fluid out of the breather when the fluid heats up.

If level is correct, the fluid is not getting cooled fast enough. Either the fluid used is not of correct type or the cooler in the radiator and its passages needs to be checkerd for clogging.
