1991 Ford Explorer engine will not start

I accidentally put the battery in backwards in a rush and blew the solennoid. I put the battery in properly replaced the solenoid now I her the starter crank but the engine will not turn over. I have switched the ignition coil no go and am about to do the crank sensor if this fails what can it be?
