Electrical problem
2003 Ford Expedition V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 150K miles

I have electric door locks, which normally automatically lock when car is driven. Although my rear hatch window operates, I am unable to open my rear hatch door. To replace door actuator or latch, how can I remove hatch interior door trim while door is in closed position? Also, could this issue cause my battery to drain? How do you determine which circuit is causing battery drainage.

Hello and thanks for donating

Are you saying that the rear hatch will not open manually nor with keyless entry?

You should be able to remove the hatch trim panels without opening hatch. Just remove the top trim part, then remove the assist handle which should just have 2 screws. Then open the glass up and remove the lower trim panel. Should have two pin retainers in it to remove, once removed slide the trim upwards.
