My engine light will not go off on my 2003 ford expedition it failed the emission test the paper work said the bank 1 and bank 2 mix to rich so I replaced both 02 sensors and the mass air flow sensor too but light is still on do I need to have a tune up done or should I replace all the sparks plugs to?
Do you
have the same problem?

The engine coolant temperature sensor may be telling the computer that its cooler than it supposed to be, thus the computer will start dumping fuel into the combustion chamber throught the injectors, I dont think that you have several bad injectors although it is possible

You still will need to check fuel pressure, low pressure could indicate a bad regulator of clogged fuel filter

My car engine light came on for a p0112 code. Went through fault isolation guide and change out air intake sensor then cleared code. Light came on again and gave same code. What could my problem be?

20) For KOEO & KOER Only DTC P0112 Or P0117: Simulate Opposite Signal To PCM
DTC P0112 (IAT) or P0117 (ECT) indicates sensor signal is less than self-test minimum. Minimum signal for IAT and ECT sensor is.2 volt or 250 F (121 C). Possible causes for these faults are:
Circuit Grounded In Wiring Harness
Faulty Sensor
Faulty Connection
Faulty PCM
Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect suspect temperature sensor connector. Inspect connector for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, access ECT-V or IAT-V PID from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. For LS and Thunderbird with electronic throttle control, if PID value is 4.2 volts or less, or -40 F (-40 C) or more, go to step 22). All others, go to next step. If PID value is more than 4.2 volts, or less than -40 F (-40 C), replace faulty temperature sensor.

90) For Continuous Memory Only DTCs P0112, P0113, P0118, P1112 & P1117: Check For Intermittent
These DTCs indicate possible intermittent fault. Possible causes for these faults are:
Faulty Sensor
Faulty Sensor Connector
Open Or Grounded Circuit In Harness
Faulty PCM
Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using scan tool, access ECT-V and IAT-V PID from PID/DATA MONITOR & RECORD menu. While observing appropriate PID, tap on sensor and wiggle sensor connector to simulate road shock. If no change in PID voltage reading occurs, go to next step. If any change in PID voltage reading occurs, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Inspect connectors for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary. If connectors are okay, replace faulty temperature sensor. If directed here for Continuous Memory DTCs P1112 and P1117, perform DRIVE CYCLES to verify repair. Repeat QUICK TEST.

When I start my truck, it cranks up but if I don't keep my foot on the gas it turns off. I took it to Meinke in February to get a tune up due to the check engine light being on. About a month later the light came back on I took it back and the guy told me it had to do with my gas pump being clogged. I notice that when I'm driving it seems like it wants to stop but when driving it runs smoothly.

Engine Performance problem
2003 Ford Expedition V8 Automatic 165000 miles

I have replaced coil pack & spark plug 7 because after a heavy rain, water pools in that area. After this rain and getting the same work done, the engine light stayed on, the mileage went from 18 to 13 and the engine seems to sputter, especially at lower speeds. I previously had 2 coil packs, #4 and #7 replaced and all spark plugs replaced. I've heard there may be a wire issue with the fuel injector. Can you help?

Honestly, the injectors on this vehicle are the most reliable part of the car, but that doesn't mean they can't go bad. Has the check engine light come back on for you for the same cylender?

Chances are either you are losing the signal for the injector or the boot that covers the plug is allowing an arc. Have you checked it closely for any evidence of that happening?

Hello,

No, you will need to go back to the parts store and have them clear the code. Or you can wait 500 - 1000 miles or 50 - 100 key starts to reset light.
