Several months ago the car would not start after stopping at a rest stop. We had been towing a boat and driving for a little over an hour. After sitting for about an hour, it started up and ran just fine until now, when I was just taking a short 15 minute drive, stopped at a stop sign and it stalled. After sitting for about 10 minutes, tried to start and it sputtered a bit and stalled. Did this about three or four times, now won't even do that. As if it is out of gas, but it's not. Hooked up a Code Scanner and it showed no codes. Not sure what to do next.

Check the fuel pressure to the injectors with ignition on. Make sure the electrical system is functioning correctly too (Battery is charging from alternator)

Is the best way to test the pressure at the test port with a fuel pressure gauge?

Yes or at the regulator but just unscrew the valve on the inside and purchase a coupling and guage for that size and you should be able to measure it easily. Put the valve on once you have taken the measurement and removed the guage.
