When I drive my vehicle with the a/c off it does not overheat. Once I turn on my a/c roughly about 15 to 20 minutes later temperture raise slowly almost to hottest point. If I catch it in time as soon as the a/c is turned off temp slowly drops back down to normal. What could it be? Change thermostat & replaced coolant cap.

Does this problem happen when you are at highway speeds or only in traffic? The AC puts an extra load on the engine, but shouldn't cause it to overheat. Since the t-stat and rad cap were replaced, my next step (if this happens on the highway) would be to have the cooling system flushed.
