1999 Escort SE alternator

On my 1999 Escort SE I have a 95 amp alternator. Can I replace it with the 75 amp unit since it is less expensive?

Match up the bolt patterns/pulley

There's a reason why for 95amp-if for some reason you go for the 75amp and half of your electrical system is not functioning right then you have to go back to the 95amp. Hoping there's no damage to any system. Remember its electrical non refundable.
