what is the best way to remove and replace the alternator?

Disconnect negative battery cable.
Disengage drive belt from pulley.
Remove power steering hose bracket from generator bracket.
Remove generator mounting bolts.
Remove generator.
Disconnect wiring from generator.
To install, reverse removal procedure.
Tighten lower generator bolt to 15-22 ft. lbs. (20-30 N.m).
Tighten upper generator bolt to 29-44 ft. lbs. (40-55 N.m)
