1997 Ford Escort Escort blower got real loud

Hi

I own a 97 escort which has served me well so far with minor repairs. Yesterday the blower got loud when I went to turn the heat on. I can basically hear it spin which I never did before. The heat still works fine. Is it getting ready to die?Is something stuck in it?

It is possible something has become caught in the blower motor fan wheel? It is also possible the brushes inside the motor are getting worn and need replacing you would have to inspect the wheel to check for sure.?
