1994 Ford Escort 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 165K miles

6 months ago I had a tune up with the wires and plugs replaced due to rough idling and missing on acceleration. The tune up solved the problem.

Now suddenly I have rough idling and rough acceleration with only 1K miles since the tuneup. It was running fine and then suddenly this problem occured. Any thought, ideas, ?

Check to make sure the spark plug wires are on the plugs securly, they could have loosened up, also check that they were routed right.

If they did it wrong they could have rubbed or touched something hot now it is grounding out.

Also they could be routed wrong and twisted on eachother causing crossfire.
