I had a minor fender-bender the other day, and the OEM water pump began leaking. I had a mechanic replace the water pump, and now the cooling fans will not come on. They run for a few seconds when I turn it off, then turn the key back on, then they quit.

Is there a sensor or something that the mechanic did not reconnect?

They should come on only when needed (engine hot )
if you have working AC put the selector on defrost the coolant fan should cycle

check fuses and relay check wiring and motor
