1992 Ford Escort 4 cyl Wheel Drive Type unknown Automatic 90000 miles

When I crank the car, turn on the heat I hear water sloshing in the engine, or that's how I describe it. If I turn the heat off it seems to help. This morning, when I was driving only about 30 mph, the engine reved up on it's own. I could still hear the water sloshing around.

Never heard of something like that, but check water level in resvr and radiator. Fill if it needs water
