2004 Ford E-Series Van Two Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

I have 04 ford E350 extended w/v-10
130000 miles. About 8 months ago at about 115000 it became very difficult to fill with gas. Fill pump cuts off different all the time. Sometimes cuts off after 50 cents sometimes $2. No matter what gas station or whatever way you hold pump handle. Clicks off n gas usually spills on ground. I ve removed tank 3 xs. Fill tube and breather clear from obstruction. Float in tank looks good but I removed the internal part that floats to top and presses membrain over hole. (I was desperate) still needs to fill exceptionally slow or spills or kicks off. Single 30 gal ish tank. Local dealer lost.

Your fuel vapor canister is clogged. My mechanic cleaned it out and my E350 started filling with gas again. After 8 months of driving its back to extremely slow fill ups again. I talked to my ford dealer and they told me the repair is to replace the $400 to $500 fuel vapor canister. It is located at the back of the van behind the left rear tire. The rear tire kicks all kinds of dirt, dust and debris into the canister and clogs it. I tried to find it to clean it myself but to date have not been able to locate it yet.
