Hi,
i have a 1990 crown victoria wagon, mileage 177,290
would anyone know what psi I have to set for output on the compressor to hold the valve stems while replacing the valve seals in the engine? Any reply would be appreciated.

Not every one has access to a compressor or the proper fittings for the job.
My favovite ( and almost fool proof ) way is to remove the spark plug and fill the cylinder with clothes line. Get as much line in there as you can. Leave the end hang out for removal. Rotate the engine until it won't turn any more this forces the line against the bottom of the valve holding it firmly in place. When finished rotate engine backward and remove line. Repeat on next cylinder.
GOOD LUCK
