The car starts first time every time, hot or cold. After the engine is hot from driving around and I turn off the engine for a time (from 30 minutes to two hours) it is difficult to start. Press the gas or no gas pedal, it turns and crancks strong, but no start. Sometimes it takes up to 20 minutes to start the car. Once started it runs fine. When I turn the engine off, if I start it immediately, it starts.
I checked the web and there was something about the ground wire but the problem can be duplicated, I would think a ground wire problem would be progressively worse and the same with timeing.

I agree. A ground would progressively get worse. Has the check engine light come on? To me it sounds like you are not getting spark or fuel during that time. Have you ever checked them when it doesn't start?
